I haven't posted in a while but thought you may like this. It's a step by step guide I put together on a rare sunny weekend of how to change the oil, filters and spark plugs

And, yes, I forgot to mention warming the oil up by running the engine a while before draining it!

Man, I wish my "New oil goes in here" spot was in the front like that. Must've changed that in '96.

Oh how I wish plugs were so simple in a car with a transverse V6. Having to remove the intake and various other parts can be a real pain in the ass. Also, cartridge filters are so nice, especially compared to some cars (like a Toyota V6) where the filter is mounted directly beneath the front exhaust manifold.

Totally agree. I've had to hammer a screwdriver through a filter before now to get it off. Messy job

They can be. When I change the filter on a Ford Powerstroke 7.3 I purposely poke a hole dead center on the bottom of the filter to drain it, otherwise it just runs all over the sides and you can't grip it.
